I watched the rest of the Gayle King Show last night on Mariah and her new partnership with Jenny last night. Right now if you go to the jennycraig.com website you can have access to the clip. I do have some more opinions about the show. I can definitely relate to Mariah's love of the company as well as her struggles with baby weight during and post pregnancy. It's awesome to hear a beautiful, strong woman talk about her self-disgust during the pregnancy. Babies or not effecting the weight gain still makes it hard to love your body during this time. You just feel so HUGE. Post baby it is not just a "quick fix" for most women to jump back into their skinny jeans. Mariah is real when she says it's a huge commitment to yourself. Watching your portions and amount of exercise is monumental in achieving your goal. However, I will be honest when I say that I wish she knew how much she gained total during her pregnancy and a size/starting number when she began Jenny. I know that it is not our business but when you go public the public needs to hear REAL sizes and numbers from Hollywood. This is part of the problem for young women: numbers are very much exaggerated and lied about in Hollywood. Mariah states that she never looked at the numbers on the scale because she didn't want to know, but come on, you're in the public eye and the public wants to know. Be open so you really can be that role model for young girls. 200 pound women in America is very common and someone needs to say, that's OK...you can change your life and be healthy. Love yourself even at your largest.
