How "healthy" are those McDonald's fruit smoothies? So many companies market products as healthy just because they have fruit in them. I see a lot of people drinking them lately. If you drink them as your only source of breakfast then the calories and fat are low: 210 cal, 0.5g of fat for a Wild Berry Smoothie. But, you'll never guess the amount of sugar in a 12fl. oz. cup!!!!...44g of sugar. This is outrageous! Remember I told you to shoot for less than 13g of sugar for your breakfast?. This puts your body into a complete unbalance and will cause you not only to seek this again for breakfast tomorrow (sugar is addicting and your body does crave it once you begin fueling it with these large amounts). The amount of sugar in this smoothie is the equivalent to a Milky Way Bar! Be careful: just because a company puts in words such as low-fat, low-calorie, fruit, high fiber, etc. doesn't mean it truly is "healthy."
