I was talking to a friend the other day about healthy eating. She had mentioned she was trying to get away from sugar cereals and calorie filled bagels (for both her kids and herself). She went on to say how much easier cereal bars were to give her kids "on the go." I of course told her to stop right there. I asked why she thought cereal bars were healthy and she said, well grain is in the title and I thought that was something good for you. I was just about to blast her for how bad they are for you when in fact, she surprised me. I went online to look up the nutritional facts and they are just about 120 calories, 3g fat, 13g of sugar, 3g fiber, and 2g protein. They aren't as bad for you as I thought. The sugar is a little high and a few more grams of protein would be more filling but all in all, they are better than a bowl full of Captain Crunch! For me personally, I am still hungry after eating one of these but if they work for your family, add a banana, and a cup of milk and go for it!
