Today I weighed in at 118! Ok, I know that means I need to watch myself and what I'm eating more closely. My instant thought is that the pasta I had last night had way too much sodium in it! That ties in perfectly with what I was going to discuss regarding sugar and sodium. Typically I prefer cooking as to eating out because I know exactly what is going into the food I make. When I am reading labels I try not to go over 650 mg of sodium. It is also critical for my body to try and stay under 6-10 g of sugar. It is so frustrating because sugar seems to be the trigger point for me. I can have more than two glasses of wine or a piece of dessert and I have instantly gained two pounds the following day! However, I do believe it is important not to deprive myself of the occasional treat. Tomorrow I will explain how I change my diet in order to indulge myself every now and then...

Thursday
Breakfast -
Jenny Craig Breakfast Stuffed Sandwich
(kind of like a hot pocket with ham, cheese, and egg)
1/2 cup milk
Banana
Lunch -
2 tbsp. of Hummus
1/2 whole wheat pita pocket
Cherry tomatoes
6 oz. yogurt
Sugar-free jello
Snack -
1/2 cup of blueberries
Handful of bran cereal
(sometimes when I am hungry still I will munch on bran cereal)
Dinner -
Salad (tomatoes, croutons, mixed greens)
2 tbsp. ranch
2 oz. crabmeat
1/4 cup of Texmati rice
1 cup of broccoli
Spray Butter
Sprinkle of Parmesan
Snack -
Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich
